Title: Quality Inspector

Hanwha Vision America (HVA) is an affiliate of the Hanwha Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. HVA is an industry-leading provider of advanced network video surveillance products, including IP cameras, storage devices, and video management systems, founded on world-class technologies. We offer end-to-end security solutions and have achieved global success across a wide range of industry verticals, including retail, transportation, education, banking, healthcare, hospitality, and airports.

Hanwha Vision America (HVA) is seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure the overall input quality of HTCC engineering operations. Similar to a hospital receptionist or nurse performing initial triage, this role conducts accurate intake screening of incoming units, resolves issues that can be immediately addressed at the front line, and streamlines the workflow for downstream engineering teams. The position also performs approximately 10% post-repair quality monitoring, investigates repeat repair cases, supports AR inventory by rebuilding unplanned defective units, and oversees packaging and outbound quality for all completed service products.

Major Functions / Accountabilities:

Pre-Screening and Initial Quality Assessment

  • Classify units based on model, IW/OOW status, symptoms, and customer request type.
  • Verify device information using RMA, Web-MD-Y, and ticket data.
  • Route units accurately to Repair personnel, Advanced Replacement (AR), or Refurbished (RB) flows.
  • Resolve simple issues at the front line whenever possible.
  • Process OOW Quotes.

Condition Check and Batch Filtering

  • Perform functional checks including power, network, and video output.
  • Conduct Batch Filtering for large-volume same-model intakes.
  • Perform first-level sorting for Unexpected AR Repair units.
  • Record inspection results in Salesforce and share with relevant teams.

Post-Repair Quality Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor approximately 10% of completed repair units for quality validation.
  • Investigate causes of repeat repair cases and document findings.
  • Contribute to maintaining service quality and preventing recurring issues.

Trade-In Evaluation and Execution

  • Apply Trade-In criteria (model, age, Serial Rules, cosmetic condition, etc.).
  • Determine rebuild eligibility and link units to AR or RB inventory.
  • Perform basic diagnostics and identify potential repeated faults.

Unplanned AR Rebuild Execution

  • Identify and sort Unexpected AR units that fall outside the planned rebuild scope.
  • Rebuild salvageable units into AR inventory.
  • Complement the planned AR Rebuild schedule by covering unplanned risk areas.

Engineering Collaboration and Outbound Quality Management

  • Support Repair personnel by filtering issues upfront, enabling focus on complex technical tasks.
  • Secure initial quality for RB and AR operational flows.
  • Inspect packaging condition and outbound quality for all completed service units.
  • Collaborate with Parts Hub and Logistics to maintain consistent service standards.

Documentation and Process Standardization

  • Maintain and update model-specific Condition Check guidelines.
  • Organize Trade-In criteria and defect-type documentation.
  • Identify and propose improvements for inspection and screening processes.
  • Report quality data and insights to the HTCC Engineering Supervisor

Basic Electronics-Based Inspection (Level-1 Engineering)

  • Perform basic functionality checks on PCB boards.
  • Understand characteristics of resistors, capacitors, diodes, and other components.
  • Utilize multimeters and basic diagnostic tools.
  • Identify root causes based on power and signal line behavior.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:

  • Preferred majors: Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics.
  • Understanding of basic electronic circuits and component characteristics.
  • Ability to operate multimeters and basic diagnostic tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills.
  • Korean-English bilingual proficiency preferred.

Role Impact:

This role safeguards the input quality of HTCC service operations and enables Advanced Replacement (AR), Refurbished (RB), and Repair personnel to focus on higher-level technical tasks. By rebuilding salvageable defective units and managing outbound quality, the role contributes directly to the stability, reliability, and consistency of HTCC service quality.
