About Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark

Tucked within historic Lake Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge at the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, is the only all-season, all-suite, destination of its kind in the Midwest. Featuring 50,000 square feet of year-round, indoor/outdoor waterpark excitement, Timber Ridge Lodge offers a family-friendly getaway designed for unforgettable memories. Just 90 minutes from Chicago and 50 minutes from Milwaukee, this property is also home to two championship golf courses, a 11-hole short course, WELL Spa and fitness center, Mountain Top Ski Park, award-winning restaurants, and 1300 acres of picturesque grounds.  
What you will be doing:  

  • Champion the hotel's strategic vision and drive its execution through innovative planning and decisive leadership

  • Foster a culture of excellence by empowering associates to deliver outstanding guest service and personalized care

  • Serve as an active community partner, enhancing the hotel's presence and impact within the local area

  • Ensure financial performance by delivering accurate forecasts and making timely staffing and operational adjustments

  • Lead revenue-generating initiatives and adapt quickly to market trends by guiding Commercial Team efforts

  • Engage directly in sales efforts through property tours, presentations, and client meetings to support business growth

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, development, and retention of top talent across all departments

  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to team members, cultivating a respectful and productive work environment

  • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • Proven General Manager experience in a small to mid-sized hotel or a progressive operations career path leading to GM readiness
  • Waterpark operations and leadership experience strongly preferred
  • People-first, team-oriented leader with a strong focus on hiring, development, and mentorship
  • Strategic business thinker with proven success in revenue management and market positioning
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasts, and capital planning
  • Results-driven with a track record of delivering high-quality outcomes with urgency and accountability
  • Marketing- and sales-minded leader who consistently positions properties as competitive market leaders
  • Trusted brand and community ambassador with impeccable integrity and discretion
  • Entrepreneurial, detail-focused communicator who drives innovation and operational excellence
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred
