Caregiver 11p-7a needed

Join our dedicated caregiving team as a Caregiver working overnight shifts from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, personalized care to residents in a supportive environment that promotes dignity, independence, and well-being. Your efforts will ensure residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for during the overnight hours. Responsibilities

• Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the night, including observing for any changes in condition or behavior
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Conduct patient observations and vital signs checks to track health status and report any concerns promptly
• Support residents with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring dietary needs are met
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and common areas by performing light cleaning duties
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with mobility and prevent injury
• Document all care activities accurately in resident records and follow established protocols for patient monitoring and safety
• Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents during the night, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary
• Collaborate with team members to develop and update personalized care plans tailored to each resident's needs

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory support techniques, and hospice care practices
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist residents using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts
• Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Flexibility to work overnight shifts reliably in a fast-paced environment
