Security Officer

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring activities, preventing unauthorized access, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is highly valued, along with certifications in first aid and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
• Manage access control by verifying identification and maintaining visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical emergencies requiring first aid or CPR.
• Enforce loss prevention strategies by identifying theft or vandalism.
• Manage conflict situations professionally through conflict management skills.
• Write detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential security threats and promote a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security roles is preferred.
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly.
• Ability to pass background checks and relevant screening processes.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in various shifts, including nights or weekends if required.

Pay: $ $27.46 per hour
