Qualifications:

• Empathetic and patient demeanor - able to build trust with students who have behavioral and emotional challenges
• Strong communication skills - clear, professional interaction with students, staff, and families
• Collaborative mindset - works closely with teachers, behavior specialists, and school teams
• Consistent and dependable - reliable in implementing behavior plans and maintaining routines
• Observant and detail-oriented - tracks behavior trends and documents with accuracy
• Flexible and adaptable - responsive to changing classroom or student needs

Responsibilities

• Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the direction of certified staff
• Support students in both general and special education settings to improve behavior and social skills
• Collect data on student behavior and progress toward goals
• Provide one-on-one or small group support during instructional time
• Reinforce positive behavior strategies and use proactive de-escalation techniques
• Collaborate with teachers and Behavior Specialists to adjust supports as needed
• Attend team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized behavior supports
