Sr. Category Manager – Atlanta
The Senior Category Manager will take full ownership of category growth and performance. In this strategic role, you'll lead product lifecycle management, drive margin and sales goals, and spearhead innovative product launches. If you're passionate about trend research, strategic planning, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results, this is your opportunity to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with company goals, ensuring SKUs are purchase-ready and margin targets are met.
- Conduct competitive analysis to monitor pricing trends and maintain a strong market position.
- Manage full product lifecycle to maximize SKU productivity and minimize obsolete inventory exposure.
- Lead new product introductions by directing milestone events and adhering to launch timelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, global teams, and sales to drive innovative product launches and support initiatives.
- Maintain accurate product information to enable effective sales and marketing efforts.
- Drive category sales and margin growth to achieve top industry rankings within three years.
- Support company growth strategy through development of new categories, brands, and channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or merchandising, or a similar program of study required
- At least 3 years' experience in product development or category management required, 5 years preferred
- At least 1 years management experience required, 2 years preferred
- Experience in target customer and product trends
- Strategic planning and merchandising experience
- Must be able to travel up to 25% as needed.
- Strong management, leadership and collaboration skills
- Strong assortment planning and sourcing skills
- Strong product positioning and trend research
- Strong verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent performance analytics
