We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work with patients who are homebound, focusing on diagnosing and treating speech, language, swallowing and communication disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals facing challenges in communication and swallowing.
*Duties*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
* Implement therapeutic interventions to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and social communication skills.
* Assess for difficulty with swallowing and implement a plan of care to address abnormalities.
* Collaborate with families, educators, and other healthcare professionals to support patient progress.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
* Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and effective strategies for improvement.
*Skills*
* Proficient in medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
* Strong background in patient care with a focus on empathy and support.
* Expertise in speech therapy techniques tailored for various populations.
* Understanding of physiology as it relates to speech production and swallowing.
* Skilled in conducting thorough patient assessments to inform treatment plans.
* Solid understanding of anatomy relevant to speech-language pathology.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
