Role Summary Choosing a university is one of the biggest decisions in a student’s life. Our partners help make that choice possible. We’re looking for a talented writer who can turn ideas into meaningful stories that inspire agents and students to take action. As a Copywriter, you will contribute to GUS' worldwide content initiatives, harnessing the power of AI technology and digital platforms to create unique and engaging campaigns that resonate with our brand's ethos. In this role, you will be producing content for a variety of B2B and B2C distribution channels including email newsletters, mailing campaigns, blogs, marketing collateral and press releases. Sometimes we may need you to help with scriptwriting for a new video or to create content for our website and social media. Every day is different, and we will challenge you to take initiative. To excel in this role, you should be an exceptional communicator with a proven ability to conceptualise and implement creative ideas. You should know when to apply AI to accelerate the writing process and when human creativity is essential to the process. Key Activities And Responsibilities As a Copywriter at GUS, you will be responsible for:
Developing compelling and creative copy for various B2B and B2C mediums, including social media, PPC, SEO and content marketing, while ensuring consistency in brand tone, style, and voice across all platforms.
Collaborating closely with the marketing and business development teams across the network to contribute engaging content such as blog posts, articles, video scripts, newsletters, updates aimed at student recruiters and collaborating with subject specialists to create thought leadership pieces.
Understand how to leverage AI technology to enhance the content creation process, striking the perfect balance between efficiency and human creativity.
Working in alignment with the overall company's goals and marketing strategies, ensuring that your written content supports these objectives and helps to deliver the desired message to the targeted audience.
Staying up to date on the latest trends in content, copywriting and AI, sharing insights in team meetings, applying best practices to daily tasks, and consistently exploring innovative strategies to enhance the quality and impact of written content.
Ensuring all content and communication efforts take diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) into consideration.
Assisting in managing relationships with GUS’ internal brand partners, ensuring clear, persuasive and effective copy is provided for all collaborative efforts.
Maintaining a high level of quality control to ensure all produced copy aligns with brand guidelines and is free of errors.

Undergraduate level or equivalent work experience

Experience Essential
Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in copywriting for multiple channels, including social media, PPC, SEO, content marketing and PR.
Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in a team-oriented environment, with the ability to collaborate and contribute to team projects.
Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to understand audience sentiment, analyse content performance and optimise copy based on performance data.
An understanding of, and demonstrated interest in, emerging technologies that may impact copywriting including generative AI, automation tools and data analytics.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring timely execution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas to internal stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven experience working collaboratively with an international team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and creatively to continually improve the company's content and copywriting strategy.
Expertise in task management systems, particularly Salesforce.
Fluency in English with excellent writing and editing skills, with a strong grasp of grammar and style.
Knowledge of AP Style or other major style guides is a plus.
A portfolio of work that demonstrates your writing abilities and creative skills.

A demonstrated passion for the educational space
Experience with content-related tools and services including SEO tools (such as SEMRush, Ahrefs), social media management tools (such as Buffer, Hootsuite), content management systems (such as WordPress) and AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Gemini)
Experience in digital marketing including SEO, SEM, social media advertising and content marketing.
