Join our dynamic dental team as an Associate Dentist (with flexible part-time hours) in the beautiful Hill Country town of Fredericksburg, Texas. Fredericksburg is recognized as one of the best small towns in the United States. It has been named the "Best Small Town in Texas" by Southern Living. With an approx. population of 12,000 (not including the surrounding smaller towns), we are located about 60 miles North of San Antonio and 67 miles West of Austin.

Fredericksburg Dentistry has been serving Gillespie and the surrounding counties for over 50 years. We have been named best Dental Office for 6 years in a row as well as Best Emergency Clinic and Best General Dentist (Reader's Choice Fredericksburg Standard Newspaper). We are a private fee for service office with 2 full time dentists and 5 full time hygienist. We also have a satellite office in the neighbor town of Johnson City, Texas which was opened in 2021.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of dental procedures including examinations, an occasional cleaning, fillings, extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and other general dentist procedures.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, diagnosing dental conditions, and developing personalized treatment plans.
  • Utilize dental terminology accurately to communicate effectively with patients and team members while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain detailed medical documentation and dental records using practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar systems.
  • Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols diligently to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Use medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning, demonstrating strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry practices to improve efficiency and patient comfort during procedures.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties to enhance patient care quality.

Requirements

  • Valid dental license to practice as an Associate Dentist in Texas.
  • Proven experience in general dentistry with proficiency in dental fabrication, extractions, root canal therapy, and other restorative procedures.
  • Familiarity with dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, Dentrix or equivalent systems.
  • Strong knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using dental terminology while providing compassionate patient care.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and procedures is a plus.
