The Manager of Human Resources will possess outstanding communication skills to support company growth and ensure that HR initiatives are effective, efficient and aligned to overall business objectives. The HR Manager will partner with the leadership team to attract, motivate and retain the most qualified talent, ensuring a 5 star onboarding and training experience. This person will be a strong leader providing consultative and business focused direction and services that drive a culture of high engagement, innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
· Provide proactive, innovative, and customer-oriented HR solutions based upon business objectives and employee needs
· Partner with leadership team to create a work environment that promotes employee engagement and inclusiveness
· Oversee recruiting processes and exploring methods to improve employee retention and turnover
· Manage onboarding and new hire training processes
· Create offers of employment and compensation plan agreements
· Update and maintain central job description and resume database
· Partner with leadership team on human resources related matters, policies and procedures
· Recommend solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience
· Create and implement employee relations policies to help increase employees' job satisfaction
· Analyze and update the company's performance evaluation program
· Analyze personnel policies and procedures, recommend revisions
· Maintain and update the company's handbook of policies and procedures
· Manage benefits administration/open enrollment - Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K plan information
· Analyze current benefits, evaluating use, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience and competitive trends in benefits programs, and recommend areas for improvement
· Conduct new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
· Conduct thorough investigations when employee complaints or concerns arise
· Handle employee relations including employee counseling, documentation, conducting investigations and formulating employment recommendations
· Maintain department records and reports
· Review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations, conduct exit interviews
· Manage employees on leave for military obligations, medical leave or FMLA
· Maintain company directory and organizational chart
· Oversee PTO and Sick Leave approved policies based on company requirements
· Adhere to Federal and State employment and compliance regulations
· Oversee all HR initiatives, systems and tactics
· Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
· Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
Qualifications:
· 10+ years related Human Resource Leadership experience; In the construction prefered but not required.
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
· PHR or SHRM-CP preferred but not required.
· Functional hands-on experience in all areas of HR including benefits, payroll, compensation, team relations, regulatory and hiring
· In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to HR across the US
· Sound judgment and problem solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Positive and proactive demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
· Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
· Highly self-motivated and directed
· Effective coaching, influencing, presentation and facilitation skills
· Ability to adapt to continually changing business and work environment, manage multiple priorities and drive changes throughout the organization
· Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
· Strong analytical and project management skills
· Ability to leverage technology and systems in order to maximize efficiency in the HR space
· Attend continued educations seminars/webinars/courses to stay up to date on HR best practices and current laws, regulations and expertise in HR policies and procedures
· Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook Express, Excel.
