Communications Coordinator

Position Summary

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for clearly, creatively, and consistently telling the story of the church. This role promotes church events, community service projects and ministries across digital, print, and physical platforms to encourage participation, strengthen community connection, and extend the church's reach beyond its current membership. Working as part of a collaborative staff team of four full-time members, this position combines communications leadership with essential administrative office support.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and publicize all church events, programs, and ministries across digital, print, and physical media.
• Curate, update, and manage the church website, with particular focus on the homepage and event visibility.
• Manage the church's brand image, ensuring consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity.
• Oversee all communications to members and the wider community, including digital, print, signage, and banners.
• Strategically use paid digital tools (e.g., Facebook Boosts, Google Ads) to promote worship services, seasonal events, and special programs.
• Perform general administrative office tasks, including correspondence, scheduling support, and coordination with staff and volunteers.

Qualifications

• Experience in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related field (church or nonprofit experience preferred).
• Working knowledge of website content management systems and social media platforms.
• Familiarity with paid digital advertising tools (Meta/Facebook, Google Ads).
• Strong written communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while collaborating effectively in a small staff environment.

Schedule & Work Environment

• 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday (5 hours per day)
• On-site in professional and welcoming suburban church office setting
• Reports to Senior Pastor

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
