Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Description
The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe and efficient plant operations. This role works closely with maintenance, operations, and leadership to prioritize work, manage resources, and improve maintenance effectiveness.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors that have been hired for services.
• Review PM schedules as scheduled per date of service.
• Utilize MP2 system to autogenerate manufacturing work orders
• Release PM's and requested work orders to the maintenance technicians
• Ensure proper completion of all work orders in compliance with GMPs and Quality procedures including tool inspections and sanitation tags
• Work closely with System Administrator Maintaining Equipment Information - enter new equipment information, assign tag numbers, enter equipment information, create standing PM's for new equipment, new functional locations, maintain PM's and work orders when machines move.
• Coordinate between Parts Room and Purchasing on material requirements
• Review status reports, such as PM Labor, Open Orders, Progress, and Materials Inventory
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Maintain reporting for work order and PM completion rates
• Maintain detailed work orders, contributing to both long-term and short-term planning, and visit job sites to prioritize tasks, assess job scope, and identify safety hazards.
• Communicate schedules, changes, and priorities clearly to maintenance and operations teams
• Utilize PIT equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to assist with unloading and relocating materials.
• Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
• Backfill to other positions as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
