Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their private dining areas with professionalism and enthusiasm
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
• Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including wine pairings and specials, to enhance guest experience through upselling techniques like OpenTable reservations or suggestive selling
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and sanitation
• Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout the event
• Assist with food handling, setup, bussing, and cleanup to maintain a pristine dining environment in compliance with food safety standards
• Support the team during busy nights by managing multiple tables, coordinating with kitchen staff, and ensuring timely service delivery

Requirements

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially within fine dining or private event settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cash handling
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
• Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume service periods
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving, host/host duties, or nightclub service is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for cashiering, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or special events as needed in a part-time capacity
