Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our multidisciplinary mental health team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, including psychotherapy, case management, and crisis intervention, to a diverse University student population. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on improving student patient outcomes through evidence-based practices and collaborative care. The LCSW will be instrumental in delivering individual counseling in a university clinic.

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent credential

· Requires previous experience or internship in a medical setting which supports a primary care integration model.

· Familiarity/proficiency with motivational interviewing techniques, Penn Resiliency, Trauma Informed Care framework, and solutions-based, brief treatment care plan models.

· Strong knowledge and experience with common young adult and adult health problems.

· Ability to develop effective interpersonal relationships with the health care team, providers, and management team staff.

· Experience in providing managed, integrated care patient services.

· Commitment to work in a university health setting with the challenges of a high risk, uninsured, and/or diverse patient population is helpful.

· Proficient in EHR documentation, currently NextGen.

· Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience in information privacy/security laws, access, and release of information.

· Experience working with computer systems; proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

· Ability to function independently, as well as work collaboratively with an integrative team.

· CPR certification required.

· Ability to successfully complete and pass background check.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Conduct integrated health assessments on all consented students to assess social, emotional, and other health related risks.

· Work closely with other members of the clinic team (i.e., FNP, RN/MA/CNA, Utilization Manager, and Health and Wellness Coordinator) to ensure both behavioral health and medical needs are addressed.

· Communicate efficiently and professionally.

· Plan, implement, and coordinate individual and group behavioral health interventions and/or therapy sessions to address individual needs of the student (i.e., anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, bullying, grief, etc.).

· Conduct crisis management, when needed.

· Ensure referrals to higher levels of care and/or outside agencies are completed to facilitate the continuum of care.

· Assist in the development, revision, and implementation of patient programs to meet the specific needs of the university's population as identified through health assessment and university leadership.

· Ensure notes/documentation are entered into eTHOS, SMART's Knowledge Management System , and EHR in a timely manner.

· Maintain knowledge and comply with RHC regulatory and third-party payors' procedures, notification requirements, and criteria, as well as the documentation required in medical records, etc.

· Coordinate the facilitation of Anticipatory Teachings and Preventive Groups.

· Maintain security, confidentiality, and data integrity at both the individual and aggregate levels.

· Report situations (e.g., escalated confrontations) to appropriate parties.

· Perform any other duties required by University or SMART FAITHworks

Additional Key Daily Responsibilities:

· Track referrals and follow-ups on patients by utilizing the eTHOS follow-up tool.

· Participate in daily huddle with the clinical team.

· Maintain close collaboration with clinical staff and providers.

· Complete all charting by the end of the day, including:

o EHR charting

o eTHOS charting

· Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-oriented service environment.

· Ability to work a flexible staffing schedule.

· Possess a holistic, Whole Person approach at understanding, evaluating, and treating all health needs that may be barriers to academic achievement.

Benefits:

FTE: , typically follows university's calendar up to 180 days; additional hours may be available.

Salary Range: commensurate with experience
