Major Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: The extent to which the incumbent shows skills in planning activities to meet operational goals that support the strategic plan, establishing policy and procedures, and identifying opportunities to gain competitive advantage.

  • Results Accountability: The extent to which the incumbent holds self and others accountable for assigned work/results and raises expectations to achieve better results.

  • Operation Improvement: The extent to which the incumbent implements Operation Improvement in his/her department and develops and encourages ideas/solutions to gain competitive advantage.

  • Change Management: The extent to which the incumbent applies change management design in implementing change in department/organization.

  • Interpersonal/Communication: The extent to which the incumbent uses good communication skills in interacting with employees and peers and promotes a spirit of teamwork within the department/organization.

  • Financial Responsibility: The extent to which the incumbent utilizes allocated resources to achieve desired financial results, while staying within organizational guidelines.

  • Technical/Technology Expertise: The extent to which the incumbent is able to identify and utilize necessary technology, resources and skills and develop the needed technical expertise across the department/organization.

  • Leadership Skills: The extent to which the incumbent uses a leadership style that motivates employees and encourages loyalty, positive attitudes, and enthusiasm within the work group.  Ensures safety of all employees through oversight, ongoing monitoring, education and appropriate follow-up.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:

  • Valid Drivers License Required.  Must remain eligible to be covered on the Carlyle Place Insurance Policy 

Education Required:

  • Must be a High School Diploma or GED Graduate.  Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.  

Experience Required:

  • None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

Must be able follow oral and written instructions. Skills and knowledge to obey all safety and traffic laws and physical compliances within the Department of Transportation regulations. Possess basic understanding and operation of the mechanical components of a vehicle.  Ability to remain calm under emergency situations and while dealing with multiple tasks

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to use visual near and distance acuity.  Must have verbal ability to communicate in person and over the phone or radio.  Must be able to assist co-workers in transfers and transport supplies, patients/residents, or equipment using good body mechanics.  Must have functional range of motion of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines, upper and lower extremities with a grip strength of 60-80 pounds, specific to the job class evaluation.  Must be able to forward reach, overhead reach, bend, squat, kneel and change from one position to the other rapidly. Must be able to lift 25-60 lbs. and carry 25-50 pounds specific to job class evaluation.  Must be able to tolerate high noise, busy atmospheres and noxious odors. Must be able to work in noisy environments and be self directed to complete jobs as ordered. Must be able to remain calm under stressful situations. Must be able to assess and respond to multiple situations simultaneously. Must be able to assist co-workers in multiple overlapping tasks simultaneously.  Must be able to prioritize job tasks and organize work space to be efficient and conducive to completing work tasks as assigned in a timely manner.  If job class is identified as falling under POPE C, the individual must pass the cardiac recovery test.
