Job Description:

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide daily support and supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities living in a group home setting. Your goal is to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of each resident while promoting independence and community involvement.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities (personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, etc.)
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to individual dietary needs and menu plans
• Support clients during community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
• Administer medications according to company policy and training
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation (daily notes, incident reports, medication logs)
• Promote social skills, independence, and inclusion in community settings
• Follow individual support plans and uphold residents' rights at all times
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and guardians

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
• Level 2 background screening (required before employment, employer will explain the steps)
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to lift or assist clients as needed
• Excellent communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Prior experience in a group home, caregiving, or DSP role preferred but NOT required (we provide training)

Schedule:

• Part-time
• Day shift (Saturday and Sunday)
