Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including home, assisted living, nursing homes, and community environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents through personalized care, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity. This role involves working closely with individuals of diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and other health conditions. Prior experience in senior care or home & community care is highly valued. Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patient conditions, reporting any changes or concerns promptly
- Administer medications and manage care plans in accordance with healthcare providers' instructions
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance tailored to individual dietary needs
- Support patients with memory care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and behavioral challenges
- Operate patient monitoring equipment and record vital signs accurately
- Assist with transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Follow HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times
- Document care activities thoroughly and accurately in compliance with healthcare standards
- Engage in patient observation to identify potential health issues early and escalate concerns appropriately
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home health, hospice care, nursing homes, assisted living, or long-term care preferred
- Knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration and vital signs monitoring
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Experience working with people with disabilities, autism, developmental disabilities, or memory impairments is a plus
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and assist with transfers using appropriate equipment
- Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward residents' needs
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Flexibility to work various shifts including days, evenings, or weekends as needed
