Veterinary Technician Assistant

The Arab Veterinary Hospital team is looking for a growth-minded Veterinary Assistant to join our team If you have a passion for helping animals and their owners as well as a superb work ethic and a desire to learn, we'd love to talk with you Experience is preferred, however, we will train the right person.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians during appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, and record vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for testing
• Perform dental cleanings and assist with other procedures as needed
• Clean and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Entry-level candidates welcome
• 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or technician would be a plus
• Desire to learn and grow
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• This position can be highly physical, so the ability to lift, stoop, bend, and carry up to 50 pounds is a must.
