Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled
Mainframe IMS Administrator
to support a mission-critical IMS environment. The role involves
administration of IMS DB and IMS Transaction Manager
, performance tuning, system maintenance, and production support in a high-availability enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain
  IMS DB and IMS TM
• Manage IMS control, message processing, and batch regions
• Administer
  DBRC
  for database recovery and integrity
• Perform
  IMS database reorganization, backup, and recovery
• Monitor and tune IMS performance and transaction throughput
• Apply IMS maintenance using
  SMP/E
• Troubleshoot IMS abends, system outages, and performance issues
• Support
  DR exercises and failover testing
• Work closely with z/OS System Programmers, DB2, and application teams
• Maintain IMS operational documentation and procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience as
  IMS Administrator
• Strong expertise in
  IMS DB and IMS TM
• Hands-on experience with
  DBRC
• Experience in IMS installation, configuration, and upgrades
• Knowledge of
  z/OS, SMP/E
• Proficiency with
  ISPF, SDSF
• Experience monitoring IMS using
  OMEGAMON or similar tools
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of
  CICS and DB2
• Experience in
  high-volume transaction systems
• Familiarity with
  mainframe security (RACF)
• Experience with
  performance analysis tools (RMF/SMF)
