Responsibilities
- Manage daily shop operations, including workflow scheduling and resource allocation to maximize productivity.
- Supervise auto body technicians, mechanics, and support staff to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Oversee vehicle repairs from initial assessment through final detailing, including auto painting, auto glass replacement, and auto restoration projects.
- Maintain high standards of vehicle maintenance, ensuring all repairs meet manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with insurance companies and customers to facilitate smooth claims processing and communication.
- Ensure proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting equipment while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Monitor inventory levels of auto parts, tools, and supplies to prevent delays in repair schedules.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dealership or collision center auto body repair management.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in auto body repair, auto painting, auto glass installation, and vehicle maintenance.
- Familiarity with auto restoration techniques and automotive repair processes.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, detailing equipment, and heavy lifting procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards, safety regulations, and insurance procedures.
