Location: Remote (Preferred applicants located in Charlotte, NC or surrounding regions)
Position Type: Part-Time (15–25 hrs/week)
Compensation: $23–$25/hour (based on experience)

As we expand across multiple states, we are seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands restaurant operations, and brings the professionalism and structure we need as we scale.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly organized, people-centered, and proactive Part-Time Human Resources Coordinator to manage HR functions across our restaurant group. This role is remote, but may require occasional on-site visits for training or support.

You will play a key part in recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and helping create a positive culture within the Food Geeks team.

This role is perfect for someone who loves structure, communicates well, and enjoys building systems that support growing companies.

Key Responsibilities

Recruiting & Staffing

Post job listings across major platforms

Screen applicants and schedule interviews
Support managers with hiring needs for multiple locations

Onboarding & HR Administration

Handle digital onboarding documents (I-9, W-4, direct deposit, etc.)

Ensure smooth orientation for all new employees
Maintain employee records in HRIS systems

Employee Relations

Serve as a friendly and professional HR point of contact

Support conflict resolution and coach managers on HR best practices
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Compliance & Policies

Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws (multi-state)

Support restaurant teams with policy interpretation
Help update and distribute employee handbooks

Culture & Engagement

Assist with performance reviews and staff appreciation initiatives

Support internal communication and culture-building activities

Qualifications

Required

1–3 years of HR experience (restaurant experience strongly preferred)

Strong understanding of HR compliance, onboarding, and recruiting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines

Preferred

Experience with restaurant scheduling/payroll platforms (e.g., Homebase, Toast, ADP)

Multi-location HR experience
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Compensation

Hourly Rate:
$23–$25/hour (based on experience)

Hours:
15–25 per week
Flexible scheduling
