Summary:

The Production Planner for high reliability Hybrid DC-DC converters for Space and Military is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production process to ensure efficient and timely manufacturing of products. This role involves planning, scheduling, and monitoring production activities to meet customer demands and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing the lead times for quotes
  • Responsible for validating the finish good stock for quotes
  • Responsible for planning and creating WO's for New Order and Sub-Assemblies
  • Responsible for production starts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to meet production capacity
  • Responsible for ensuring on‐time product delivery to customers
  • Responsible for communicating backlog updates, changes or issues to Customer Service & Program Management
  • Responsible for reviewing and sending material shortages to the Subcon
  • Responsible for WIP review for the Subcon
  • Responsible for working with Engineering to ensure troubleshooting at the Subcon is being addressed in a timely manner
  • Responsible for weekly telecom calls with the Subcon
  • Follow up with purchasing to resolve any material issues in advance of release production orders
  • Provide work order status and delivery schedule to program managers
  • Update daily backlog with First Commit Dates, WIP updates, Revenue Risk, Revenue Push Out and Revenue Opportunities
  • Reviews forecasted requirements and assess when to execute orders based on multiple factors
  • Interfaces with technical and management personnel, regarding changes in material, quantity, quality or delivery schedules.
  • Manages Work In Process (WIP) aging for Subcontractor

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all quality and ITAR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Build meaningful and productive relationships with internal business partners.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Protect confidential information by not communicating, disclosing to, or using it for the benefit of 3rd parties.
  • Maintain the highest degree of honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Planning or related Field preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred
  • 3 – 5 years as a material planner or master scheduler
  • Experience handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy under tight time deadlines.
  • Experience evaluating, prioritizing and problem-solving tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion
  • MRP, Expandable Systems
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables) and Power Point
  • Manufacturing, Electronic or Aerospace industry background.
