We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to enhance our special education services through virtual means, ensuring students receive the support and resources they need to thrive.
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide remote services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders. This role requires strong collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support students' educational goals. We have both full-time and part-time positions available. These positions are flexible with 20 hours of availability required between Monday - Friday from 8am-4pm.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and establish achievable goals for students.
Provide direct therapy in individual and group settings to meet caseload minutes as per IEP requirements.
Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to discuss student progress and adjust intervention strategies.
Write detailed reports and maintain records of students' progress and therapy sessions.
Advise and train educational staff on how to observe, monitor, and facilitate students' speech skills.
Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with new therapies and technologies pertinent to speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
Valid California state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
Strong understanding of the principles and practices of speech-language pathology applicable to a K-12 educational setting.
Skills:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster an engaging and supportive educational environment.
Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Comfort with technology and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote education and communication.
