We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to enhance our special education services through virtual means, ensuring students receive the support and resources they need to thrive.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to provide remote services to K-12 students. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders. This role requires strong collaboration within a multidisciplinary team to support students' educational goals. We have both full-time and part-time positions available. These positions are flexible with 20 hours of availability required between Monday - Friday from 8am-4pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication disorders.

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and establish achievable goals for students.

  • Provide direct therapy in individual and group settings to meet caseload minutes as per IEP requirements.

  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to discuss student progress and adjust intervention strategies.

  • Write detailed reports and maintain records of students' progress and therapy sessions.

  • Advise and train educational staff on how to observe, monitor, and facilitate students' speech skills.

  • Engage in professional development opportunities to stay current with new therapies and technologies pertinent to speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.

  • Valid California state license in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.

  • Previous experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the principles and practices of speech-language pathology applicable to a K-12 educational setting.

Skills:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school staff.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster an engaging and supportive educational environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

  • Comfort with technology and proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for remote education and communication.
