Part-Time Dishwasher

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher / Line Prep to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas. As a Dishwasher, you will ensure that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized promptly, supporting our restaurant's commitment to high-quality food service and customer satisfaction. Help with all prep needed for the line.

Duties

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, ensuring it is organized and free of debris.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and supporting cooks during busy service periods.
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Help with the setup and breakdown of banquet events as required.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen manager promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours
• Wash, chop, measure, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and daily prep lists
• Set up and stock prep stations with all necessary supplies
• Assist cooks and chefs with basic cooking tasks such as portioning, mixing, marinating, and labeling items
• Follow all food safety and sanitation standards including proper storage, rotation, and labeling of products
• Maintain cleanliness of prep area, equipment, and tools throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of culinary practices, food handling, and sanitation standards is a plus.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration in the kitchen.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed within the kitchen team.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as necessary.
