Job Overview
The Breakfast Server is responsible for providing excellent guest service during the breakfast shift by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering the Hilton hospitality standard.

Responsibilities

  • Greet all guests warmly and with a smile as they arrive for breakfast.
  • Explain menu offerings and answer guest questions about ingredients or dietary needs.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
  • Deliver orders efficiently and ensure all guests receive their meals as requested.
  • Monitor tables, refilling drinks and attending to guests' needs throughout their meal.
  • Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently for the next guests.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down the breakfast area before and after the shift.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with hotel and local regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, hosts, and other servers to ensure smooth operation.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management if necessary.
  • Assist with room service or banquet duties as needed.

Skills

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
  • Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
  • Familiarity with Toast POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
  • Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding menu items better.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous food and beverage service experience preferred but not required (on-the-job training may be provided).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Basic math skills for handling payments (if applicable).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive motions.

Working Conditions:

  • Early morning shifts required (typically between 5:30 AM – 11:00 AM).
  • Weekends and holidays may be required.
  • Uniform provided or required per hotel policy.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Base Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
