Job Overview
The Breakfast Server is responsible for providing excellent guest service during the breakfast shift by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring guests have a pleasant dining experience. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering the Hilton hospitality standard.
Responsibilities
- Greet all guests warmly and with a smile as they arrive for breakfast.
- Explain menu offerings and answer guest questions about ingredients or dietary needs.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
- Deliver orders efficiently and ensure all guests receive their meals as requested.
- Monitor tables, refilling drinks and attending to guests' needs throughout their meal.
- Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently for the next guests.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the breakfast area before and after the shift.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, service stations, and equipment.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines in compliance with hotel and local regulations.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, hosts, and other servers to ensure smooth operation.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management if necessary.
- Assist with room service or banquet duties as needed.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant roles is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Familiarity with Toast POS, Micros POS, or similar systems is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding menu items better.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous food and beverage service experience preferred but not required (on-the-job training may be provided).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Skills:

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
- Basic math skills for handling payments (if applicable).
- Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive motions.
Working Conditions:
- Early morning shifts required (typically between 5:30 AM – 11:00 AM).
- Weekends and holidays may be required.
- Uniform provided or required per hotel policy.
