Medical Assistant

Positive Assistance d/b/a Inclusive Care of Orlando is a community-based organization, a primary care clinic that meets people where they are. We are seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistants to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support physicians and other medical professionals by performing both administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our primary care clinic. Duties
:

• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and insurance claims.
• Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
• Take patient vital signs, record medical histories, and update patient information in electronic medical records.
• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing.
• Provide patient education on medication instructions, diet, exercise, and other healthcare topics.
• Assist with X-Ray procedures as needed.

Qualifications
:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
• At least 1 year of previous experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic medical procedures.
• Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bilingual, English/Spanish or Haitian Creole, preferred
