Unarmed Security Guard

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dependable, experienced Security Officer for a full-time night shift at a residential property. This is a fixed-post position offering consistent hours, predictable scheduling, and long-term stability.

This role is ideal for officers who prefer nights, work well independently, and value professionalism over corporate turnover and constant schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified
• Enforce access control procedures by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
• Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
• Document incidents thoroughly in reports for future reference and investigations
• Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
• Maintain clear communication with team members and law enforcement when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred
• Certifications in first aid, CPR, or related emergency response training are advantageous
• Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and loss prevention techniques is a plus
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to remain alert during long shifts and work independently when required
• Valid security license or certification as mandated by local regulations is preferred but not always required
• Must be reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining a safe environment at all times

SCHEDULE DETAILS

• Night shift
• 60 hours per week
• Consistent weekly schedule
• 12-hour shifts
