We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in San Francisco, California. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming freight, verify quantities and quality against shipping documents and purchase orders.
- Inspect goods for damage and discrepancies, reporting any issues promptly.
- Unload trucks and containers safely, using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away and distribution within the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of all required PPE.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and moving packages and materials, following safe lifting practices.
- Collaborate with drivers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure smooth receiving operations.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of the logistics process.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and data entry systems.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
