Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and loading areas.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety standards.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Utilize appropriate PPE at all times when operating equipment or in designated areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics operations.
- Follow all procedures related to the safe handling and movement of goods, including proper lifting techniques when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance goals.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE throughout the shift.
