We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our logistics hub in Kansas City, Missouri. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a commitment to maintaining a secure work environment. We provide all necessary safety equipment and PPE, and emphasize adherence to strict safety protocols in all aspects of our logistics operations.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move pallets, materials, and products within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring cargo is secure and undamaged.
- Transport materials from receiving areas to storage locations and vice versa.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to traffic rules within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including picking, packing, and staging.
- Understand and follow lifting best practices for safe handling of goods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and organization of our logistics operations.
- Participate in regular safety training sessions.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Excellent knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using PPE.
