This is a client-facing, consultative role working closely with Account Managers, fellow Solutions Architects, and delivery teams to create technically robust, commercially viable AV/UC solutions. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will act as a trusted technical advisor from early discovery through design and into delivery.
Success in this role is defined by high-quality technical design, strong stakeholder relationships, and solutions that meet both client objectives and commercial requirements.
Responsibilities
Lead client discovery and technical consultation sessions to understand user needs, environments, and business objectives
Translate requirements into scalable, well-defined AV/UC solutions with clear use cases and user experience goals
Produce high-quality technical designs including schematics, layouts, elevations, and performance specifications
Work through RIBA Plan of Work stages 2–6, supporting construction-aligned projects from concept to commissioning
Collaborate closely with Account Managers to ensure technical solutions align with sales strategy and client expectations
Support project handover to delivery teams and provide technical input during implementation and commissioning
Participate in internal design reviews to ensure quality, compliance, and deliverability
Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Represent Cinos professionally at client meetings, workshops, and industry events
Ensure accurate documentation and data entry within CRM and sales systems
Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in AV/UC solution design, pre-sales consultancy, or system architecture
Strong background in consultative technical engagement with enterprise or public-sector clients
Experience working on construction or design-led projects aligned to the RIBA Plan of Work
Knowledge of AV standards and best practice (e.g. AVIXA, BS/EN/ISO)
Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), Visio, or similar
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
Self-starter with strong organisation, time-management, and attention to detail
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally (with occasional international travel)
Ability to achieve SC vetting
Industry certifications (e.g. CTS-D, CTS-I, Microsoft Teams Rooms) are desirable but not essential.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 (dependent on experience)
OTE: Available following successful completion of probation (Sales Bonus Scheme)
