Trio Labs is transforming the medical device industry through a breakthrough 3D printing process for ultra‐resolution micro metal parts. Our proprietary Resin Infused Powder Lithography (RIPL) technology enables a new generation of high‐value medical devices that were previously impossible to manufacture. As a high‐growth, product‐focused startup, we are scaling rapidly across R&D, engineering, and manufacturing.
We value diversity, inclusion, trust, strong communication, great teamwork, and work‐life balance. We challenge ideas—not people—and we believe openness and honesty lead to the best outcomes. Most importantly, we’re having fun building something extraordinary together.
This is a unique opportunity to join a fast‐moving team and help shape the operational backbone of a world‐class engineering organization.
*Role Overview*
The Program Manager will play a central role in coordinating complex, multidisciplinary engineering and manufacturing programs as Trio Labs scales. This person will partner closely with cross‐functional leaders to ensure that product development, R&D initiatives, and manufacturing scale‐up efforts are executed with clarity, alignment, and predictable delivery.
The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, excels at building structure in fast‐changing environments, and communicates with precision and empathy. They bring a builder’s mindset, a systems‐level view, a passion for enabling teams to do their best work, and excitement in the technology program manager space.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Drive cross‐functional program execution* by aligning engineering, R&D, manufacturing, and product teams around clear goals, timelines, and deliverables.
* *Develop and maintain program plans* including schedules, milestones, risk registers, and resource needs.
* *Facilitate communication and decision‐making* across technical and non‐technical stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
* *Identify and mitigate risks* proactively to keep programs on track and escalate issues when needed.
* *Implement scalable processes* for program tracking, reporting, and cross‐team collaboration as the organization grows.
* *Enable R&D productivity* by helping teams prioritize, sequence work, and translate development needs into actionable engineering plans.
* *Champion Trio Labs’ culture* of openness, constructive challenge, and collaborative problem‐solving.
*Qualifications*
* *Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field* (mechanical, materials, chemical, etc.) preferred; advanced degree a plus.
* *5+ years of experience* in program management within hardware, advanced manufacturing, medical devices, or similar technical environments.
* *10+ years of overall project/program management experience,* ideally in hardware or manufacturing; passion for technology program management is essential.
* *Proven success collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams* (mechanical, materials, chemistry, electrical, software, manufacturing).
* *Strong program management capabilities*—skilled in leading teams, managing processes, and aligning business priorities; PMP certification is a plus.
* *Exceptional organizational and planning skills* with the ability to manage multiple complex programs simultaneously.
* *Excellent communicator*—clear, concise, and comfortable engaging at all levels of the organization.
* *Thrives in fast-paced, early‐stage startups* with evolving priorities and minimal structure.
* *Advanced collaboration and leadership abilities*—able to reconcile perspectives across executives, managers, and technical teams to drive alignment on priorities, risks, and trade-offs.
* *Familiarity with regulated product development environments* (e.g., medical devices) is a plus.
* *Technically curious with a systems mindset*—motivated to understand how things work end‐to-end.
*What Success Looks Like*
* *Programs run smoothly* with clear ownership, predictable timelines, and minimal surprises.
* *Teams feel supported and unblocked* because communication is crisp and decisions happen quickly.
* *Processes scale with the company* rather than slow it down.
* *The organization stays aligned* even as complexity increases.
