In this position, you will be responsible for booking, managing, and growing NOCs group accounts and reservations year-round. You will work directly with group leaders (churches, camps, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, universities, schools, friends, families, corporate groups, and more) to help them identify which NOC activities and amenities best fit their needs. From first contact through trip follow-up, youll own the full sales cycle and deliver a high-touch experience that drives both outstanding group experiences and strong repeat visitation./ppThis is a full-time, year-round position reporting to the Group Sales Manager. Compensation includes an hourly base plus commission on both new and existing group accounts. Typical schedule is MondayFriday, 40 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work required based on group needs and event schedules./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliGenerate sales for all NOC properties, assets, attractions, and activitiesmeeting or exceeding assigned sales budgetsby booking, managing, and growing NOCs Group and Custom accounts and reservations year-round/liliMaintain and expand existing group business through excellent follow-up, proactive account management, and trip-to-trip relationship building that increases return visitation/liliDevelop new group and custom business through consistent prospecting, outreach, and cold calling, including exploring new group segments and partnership opportunities/liliGain a thorough knowledge of NOC customer channels, relationships, and full product lineup (adventure, lodging, food
beverage, retail, and trip planning where applicable)/liliAssure prompt response to all sales inquiries and deliver a consultative, solutions-oriented sales experience/liliAsk questions, identify needs, and offer recommendations that maximize guest satisfaction and best utilize NOC lodging and recreational resources/liliCollect deposits and balance payments in a timely manner per NOC group payment policy/liliCollaborate with all NOC departments to ensure groups are supported appropriately from booking through arrival and post-trip follow-up/liliEmbrace all technology platforms necessary to book group reservations, manage accounts, and track sales performance/liliSupport NOCs Guest Relations Office as needed/liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pstrongRequired/strong/pulliFamiliarity with outdoor recreation, travel, tourism, hospitality, and/or experience-based products/liliProven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, leaders, and stakeholders/liliStrong interpersonal skills with a consultative, service-oriented approach/liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills (phone, email, and in-person)/liliStrong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously/liliComfort with proactive outreach, including prospecting and cold calling/liliProficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)/liliAbility to learn and use reservation platforms, sales tools, and other technology systems/liliValid drivers license and clean driving record/li/ulpstrongPreferred/strong/pulliExperience using a CRM and maintaining accurate sales/activity records/liliDemonstrated sales success (meeting/exceeding goals; growing revenue, retention, and/or account size), tangible record of closing sales./liliExperience selling group experiences, travel, events, hospitality, or recreation products/liliAbility to identify and develop new group segments, partnerships, or channels/liliB.S./B.A. in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field/li/ulh3Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:/h3ulliMust be comfortable sitting for long periods of time/liliMust be comfortable speaking with guests over the phone, via email, and in person/liliMust be comfortable working in an indoor office environment/li/ulh3Primary Work Location and Schedule:/h3ulliThis positions primary work location is NOCs Nantahala River Campus, but options available for hybrid work to the discretion of the Group Sales Manager/liliSchedule will generally be M-F with some evening or weekend hours possible based on business and/or position demands/liliOvernight or weekend travel for tradeshows possible/li/ulpThe above noted job description is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to provide a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of this position.
