OTR Truck Driver

Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver, where you'll be the backbone of our logistics operations, delivering freight across long distances with energy and precision. In this role, you'll operate various tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, and roll-off trucks, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in driving and load handling will keep our supply chain moving smoothly while providing excellent service to our customers. This is a paid position that offers the opportunity to develop your driving skills and experience the thrill of route driving across diverse regions.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across long-haul routes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security
• Drive a variety of specialized trailers including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-offs to meet diverse delivery needs
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times while complying with federal and state transportation laws
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with Hours of Service regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or freight trucks
• Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks with a strong focus on safety and control
• Knowledge of operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
• Familiarity with route driving strategies to ensure timely deliveries over long distances
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards for commercial driving
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $0.60 - $0.65 per mile
