Bell Company provides handling, storage, processing, packaging and record keeping services to a customer base comprised of producers, traders and consumers of metals, minerals and semi-finished industrial materials. The company also provides logistic services, such as drayage and truck transportation.
We are currently looking for an Invoice/Inventory Clerk in our Pittsburgh Location.
The Invoice/ Inventory Clerk is responsible for creating, managing, and processing invoices for goods or services provided. This role requires a strong attention to detail, basic accounting knowledge, and proficiency in software applications to ensure accurate financial documentation and timely billing. The Invoice Clerk works closely with the finance and accounts payable/receivable teams.
This position is 100% on-site, M-F, and hours are primarily 8:00am-3:30pm.
Essential Functions
Ensure that accounts balance.
Create trial invoices from Order Entry system to compare against paperwork for accuracy.
Assist in reconciling invoices, coordinating with other departments if any discrepancies arise.
Verifying that all invoices are compliant with relevant financial regulations and company policies, double-checking entries for accuracy.
Total warehouse receipts/bill of ladings and file.
Ensure that client information details are kept up to date.
Preparing and sending out invoices to customers.
Enter invoices with detentions/examsite/offhire into computer file.
Accurately input data into the company's financial and billing systems, maintaining organized and accessible records.
Create end of month balancing OF reports
Demonstrate excellent communication and organization skills
Identify opportunities to streamline invoicing processes and improve efficiency
Generate and maintain reports related to accounts
Exceptional Attention to detail
Education/Equivalent Experience
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least two years prior work experience of clerical office or administration experience.
Experience as an invoice clerk or in general accounting is preferred.
Excellent mathematics and problem-solving skills.
The ability to meet deadlines and to work well in a stressful environment.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
The ability to work independently or as part of a team.
