Vision Care Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. Previous optometric or medical office experience is desired. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the optometric practice. You will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic. Duties

• Assist optometrist during examinations by preparing patients and performing preliminary tests.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of medical history using medical terminology.
• Educate patients on contact lens fitting, eyewear options, and post-examination care instructions.
• Manage a small inventory of optical products and supplies
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the clinic environment.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient interactions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• A keen interest in optometry or related fields will be considered an asset.
