About the RoleThe Dietary Manager oversees dining services to ensure residents receive safe, nutritious, and appealing meals in accordance with dietary needs and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily food service operations, including meal preparation, service, and sanitation.
- Ensure menus and meal service meet nutritional guidelines and physician-ordered diets.
- Maintain compliance with health department, safety, and infection control requirements.
- Train, schedule, and support dining services staff to ensure quality and consistency.
- Coordinate special meals and events in collaboration with other departments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; formal training in culinary arts, nutrition, or food service management preferred.
- Experience in senior living, healthcare dining, or volume food service.
- Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and dietary needs of older adults.
- Ability to lead, train, and communicate effectively with staff.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
