Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Caregiver/Med Tech, where your dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with diverse care needs. This dynamic role combines hands-on patient care with medical technology responsibilities, ensuring residents receive the highest quality support in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings. You will play a vital part in fostering a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment while utilizing your medical knowledge and caregiving skills to promote well-being and independence.

Duties

  • Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and nutrition to enhance residents' comfort and dignity.
  • Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, while maintaining meticulous medical documentation.
  • Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; record findings in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
  • Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
  • Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, tube feeding, and other clinical tasks requiring physiology and anatomy knowledge.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems to ensure seamless communication among healthcare providers.
  • Collaborate closely with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care aligned with medical terminology and treatment plans.
  • Participate in training on medical records management, medication administration protocols, and emergency response procedures to uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home & community care environments.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical procedures such as catheter care and vital signs monitoring.
  • Prior experience working with people with disabilities or special needs populations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience in documenting medical records accurately is preferred.
  • Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medical Assistant (MA), or similar credential is required; additional Med Tech certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for residents' well-being.

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour
