DESCRIPTION: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, cleaning, and inspections to ensure the safe, clean, and efficient operation of building, equipment, grounds, and specialty areas. This role supports daily facility operations by maintaining a safe, well-kept environment for staff, residents, and visitors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building, equipment, etc.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repairs as needed.
• Maintain grounds, including snow removal, lawn care, and general exterior upkeep (as applicable).
• Replace or repair fixtures, doors, locks, lighting, appliances, and other facility components.
• Clean public bathrooms as needed.
• Wash windows and walls.
• Maintain all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and materials used.
• Assist in the moving of large furniture as needed.
• All tasks necessary to provide a clean environment for the residents.
• Follow all safety procedures, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with facility set-up for events or operational needs, as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• High school education or GED preferred.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with employees, supervisors, and Department heads.
• Must be able to exhibit, institute, and uphold personal conduct on the job that is in accordance with St. Ann's general rules of conduct.
• Must pass a Minnesota DHS criminal background check.
• Must be able to pass a job-related physical examination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, use a ladder, etc.
• Ability to run a flight of stairs, and rapidly respond to situations.
• Visual acuity.
• Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds.
• Full range of motion.
• Physically able and capable to assist with maintenance duties.
• Must be pleasant and courteous with the public.
• Must be able to verbally communicate with the public and effectively provide detailed information to a wide variety of people.
• Must be able to read policies and write accurate/legible reports as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.57 per hour
