Sales Associate (Phone and Retail)

Overview

• Brand-new role within the company focused on driving revenue through phone and in-store sales.
• Starting pay: $15.00 per hour plus commission.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with customers via phone and in-store to recommend and sell products/services.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of leads, manage follow-ups, and close sales to meet or exceed quotas.
• Track sales activity and update customer records in the CRM accurately.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and stay current on updates, promotions, and pricing.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve regional and company-wide sales goals.
• Provide excellent customer service, including handling objections and converting inquiries into sales.
• Maintain merchandising standards, in-store displays, and cleanliness to support sales efforts.
• Communicate customer feedback and market insights to management for product and process improvements.

Compensation and Quotas

• Starting wage: $15.00/hour with commission opportunities.
• Revenue quotas apply monthly and quarterly for commission eligibility.
• Additional commission awarded for exceeding quotas.
• No caps on commission; earnings can grow with sales performance.
• 90-day introductory period with more lenient quotas to allow product learning and ramp-up.

Schedule and Hours

• Core hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch break.
• Seasonal Saturday hours: 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM during the summertime.
• Overtime: 1.5x regular rate, with manager approval.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in phone sales and in-store retail sales is preferred.
• Comfortable using Shopify software and basic computer applications.
• Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently as needed.

Training and Onboarding. 90 Day RAMP

• Comprehensive onboarding to learn products, processes, and company policies.
• 90-day ramp period with supported target quotas to ensure product mastery and confidence in selling.
• Ongoing coaching and performance feedback to help you achieve and exceed goals.

Location and Work Setting

This role involves both phone-based and in-store (retail) sales.
