Safety Manager

Position Summary

Riley Industrial's current Safety Manager is relocating to Texas and we are soliciting for a new individual to take over that established role. The Safety Manager is responsible for implementing and administering safety and health policies, programs, and training to ensure compliance with Riley, governmental, and customer safety standards. This role plays a key part in controlling accident and health exposures while supporting operations through proactive risk management and effective communication. Prefer candidate to live within 30 minutes of our El Mirage office and or relocate. Assistance may be offered.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and administer safety and health policies, programs, and training
• Ensure compliance with Riley, OSHA, EPA, MSHA, and customer safety requirements
• Oversee programs, processes, and procedures to control accident and health exposures
• Develop and implement policies to prevent accidents and other safety risks
• Conduct incident investigations, identify root causes, field audits and develop preventative measures
• Evaluate hazardous conditions and employee practices and implement sustainable hazard controls
• Partner with management and supervision to communicate hazard controls and evaluate effectiveness
• Identify sources of safety and health risk and develop safe work practices with onsite supervisors
• Investigate incidents alongside operations personnel and notify management in a timely manner
• Conduct and manage required drug and alcohol testing for the local office

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MSHA, and other safety regulations
• Knowledge of medical protocols and incident investigation processes
• Strong training and presentation skills in a classroom setting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presenting to groups and management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer-based documentation and training tools
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Prior Industrial safety background recommended
• Bilingual a plus

Schedule: Approximately 40-50 hours per week, Monday–Friday. Early start time. On Call
(Additional hours, weekends, or plant outages may be required). Occasional short-term overnight travel will be required, with a per diem paid.
