Job Duties
Works in collaboration with others to design and/or revise an education, training and development model that supports the clinical business goals and objectives for Ambulatory Services. Conducts comprehensive needs assessment and verification of clinical competence of nursing and clinical support staff. Responsible for development, review, revision and education of patient care policies and procedures. Partners with clinics to ensure regulatory compliance with patient care activities. Leads the development and maintains provider and staff education of the Event Reporting and Patient Experience systems.
ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions
• Plans, coordinates and facilitates clinic specific orientation for his/her designated areas. Teaches applicable programs to all new associates (clinical support team, mangers, and administrators to orientate to the ambulatory clinical settings.
• Develops training plan to meet the educational, informational and compliance needs of clinical support staff; develops course materials and other education materials, including instructional tools, audio-visual materials, exercises, assessments and calendar of training events.
• Prepares, maintains and reports training compliance to Vice President of Ambulatory Services Quarterly Safety
Committee, Life safety Department Human Resources / licensures/competencies.
• Participates in the development, revision and implementation of patient care policies and OSHA Policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency of service and quality in the clinics; ongoing coordination to sister company UF Health best practices set by AHCA standards.
• Responsible for set up and maintenance of Event Reporting System for UFJPI clinics. Educates providers and staff on
purpose and usage on Event Reporting System.
• All other duties assigned.
Experience Requirements
3 years Adult education or other training development and delivery required
3 years RN experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in an Ambulatory setting required
4 years RN Associates degree + 4 years of education training experience in Lieu of Bachelors required or
6 years RN + 6 years of education training experience in lieu of Bachelors required or
1 year IT Informatics experience preferred
Educational Requirements
Associates RN + 4 years of education training experience in Lieu of Bachelors required or
Training RN + 6 years of education training experience in Lieu of Bachelors required or
Bachelors Nursing or Healthcare Informatics required or
Masters Nursing or Healthcare Informatics preferred
Certificate/Licensure
Registered Nurse (RN) - Florida Licensure required at time of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire
Driver's License - Florida required at time of hire
Travel Up to 50%
May Supervise Others
