Position Summary

The Systems & Operations Specialist provides hands-on operational, logistical, and systems support to the Director of Systems and Initiatives across all Redeemer Christian School campuses. This role is essential in ensuring that school systems, campus operations, inventory, scheduling, and technology-related initiatives are executed efficiently and on time.

The Systems & Operations Specialist works independently on assigned tasks, collaborates with multiple teams, and supports both school year and summer operations, including campus refresh projects, inventory management, and system maintenance.

Success in this role is measured by the Systems & Operations Director's ability to delegate operational tasks with confidence, knowing they will be executed accurately, documented properly, and completed on time.

Key Responsibilities

Systems & Operational Support

  • Support the Director of Systems & Operations in executing and maintaining school-wide systems related to:
  • Campus room scheduling
  • Classroom inventory and ordering
  • School portal and internal systems
  • Technology integration support tasks
  • Assist with documentation, data entry, and upkeep of systems and processes as directed.
  • Carry out time-based tasks (weekly, monthly, seasonal, and summer projects) with accuracy and consistency.

Campus & Logistics Support

  • Travel between all three Redeemer Christian School campuses on an as-needed basis to support systems and operational needs.
  • Assist with signage coordination, room setup needs, inventory movement, and campus refresh projects.
  • Support summer operational work including classroom refreshes, inventory audits, and system updates.
  • Lift, move, and organize materials and equipment as required (up to 50 lbs.).

Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with faculty, staff, and leadership teams.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams across Redeemer Christian School, including:
  • Office staff
  • Teachers
  • I.T.
  • Campus Operations staff
  • Serve as a reliable point of follow-through on assigned tasks and projects.

Technology & Administrative Support

  • Use and maintain various digital tools and platforms related to scheduling, inventory, communication, and systems management.
  • Learn new software and systems quickly and apply them effectively.
  • Repeat learned processes with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail.
  • Provide basic support related to classroom technology or systems as directed.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to track, record, and update work performed using a task-based system to manage and complete time-based tasks.
  • Strong computer skills and a knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to learn new systems quickly and accurately repeat learned tasks
  • Work efficiently in digital environments
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between campuses as needed.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work well with multiple teams and personalities in a school environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when working with internal systems, records, and operational information.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in school operations, facilities support, logistics, or systems coordination.
  • Familiarity with inventory management, scheduling systems, or campus operations.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Work Schedule & Environment

  • This position works through the school summer break, with significant responsibilities during summer operational periods.
  • Some tasks require on-site presence across campuses; others may be administrative or systems based.
  • Summer months may involve increased operational workload, physical tasks, and project-based timelines related to classroom refreshes, inventory, and system preparation.
  • Schedule may vary based on school calendar needs and operational priorities.

Performance Expectations

The Systems & Operations Specialist will be evaluated based on the consistent execution of assigned tasks, adherence to timelines, and accuracy of work performed. Performance expectations include:

  • Task Completion:
  • Complete assigned tasks within established timelines and due dates.
  • Accurately follow written task instructions and specifications.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail across all assigned work.

  • Task Tracking & Documentation:

  • Consistently track, update, and document work in the designated task-based system.
  • Ensure task status, notes, and completion indicators are current and accurate.
  • Communicate delays, obstacles, or required clarifications proactively and in a timely manner.

  • Time Management & Reliability:

  • Effectively manage multiple time-based tasks and priorities without direct supervision.
  • Meet recurring, seasonal, and project-based deadlines (including summer operational timelines).
  • Demonstrate reliability in follow-through and task ownership.
  • When competing priorities or deadlines arise, the Systems & Operations Specialist will pause execution and seek prioritization guidance before proceeding.

  • Quality & Consistency:

  • Execute repeatable tasks with consistency and efficiency over time.
  • Minimize errors by adhering to established processes and workflows.
  • Incorporate feedback and process updates quickly and accurately.

  • Communication & Coordination:

  • Provide clear and timely status updates to the Director of Systems and Initiatives.
  • Coordinate effectively with multiple teams to ensure tasks are completed as scheduled.
  • Escalate issues appropriately when timelines or outcomes may be impacted.

  • Decision Making Authority & Escalation

  • The Systems & Operations Specialist is responsible for executing assigned tasks and workflows. Decisions that impact budgets, timelines, systems, or cross-departmental priorities must be escalated to the Director of Systems & Operations.

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
