Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain network. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced transportation management systems and GIS tools to optimize freight movement, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain effective communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where strong analysis skills and efficient dispatching are essential for operational success.
Duties
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management, SyteLine, and AS400.
- Utilize GPS and GIS technologies to monitor vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Manage fleet operations including dispatching trucks, tracking shipments, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with drivers via multi-line phone systems and maintain professional phone etiquette.
- Enter data accurately into shipping & receiving logs, freight management platforms, and other logistics software.
- Oversee shipping schedules, coordinate with 3PL providers, and manage logistics documentation.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Support transportation planning efforts by providing analysis related to supply chain efficiency and freight movement.
- Ensure proper coordination of shipping & receiving activities while maintaining high standards of communication and customer service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or SyteLine.
- Strong knowledge of GIS, GPS technology, and transportation planning principles.
- Familiarity with freight logistics, fleet management, 3PL operations, and shipping & receiving processes.
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret data related to supply chain and transportation management.
- Proficient in data entry, typing, and managing multi-line phone systems with professional communication skills.
- Experience working with AS400 or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating between drivers, clients, and internal teams. This position is integral to maintaining seamless logistics operations through effective dispatching, analysis, and communication strategies that support our supply chain excellence.

Pay: $ $1,126.14 per week
