The Business Development Manager (BDM) is accountable for identifying, pursuing, and securing new client opportunities that contribute to Linguava's growth. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, this role manages the full sales cycle including prospecting, discovery, presenting, and closing. The BDM develops strong relationships with prospective clients, collaborates with internal teams to design tailored solutions, and ensures new opportunities align with Linguava's mission and service standards. By consistently demonstrating Linguava's core values, the BDM helps expand Linguava's impact and build long-term client partnerships.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Execution
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close
- Prospect, qualify, and develop opportunities in assigned markets and segments
- Deliver compelling proposals and presentations that reflect Linguava's capabilities and brand standards
- Negotiate agreements within established pricing and margin guardrails
- Track activities, opportunities, and progress in the CRM with accuracy and timeliness
Client Acquisition & Relationship Development
- Build relationships with decision makers and influencers at prospective client organizations
- Use a consultative approach to understand client needs and demonstrate Linguava's value
- Represent Linguava at conferences, networking events, and community forums to expand market presence
- Collaborate with Marketing to leverage campaigns, events, and content for outreach and lead generation
- Develop relationships with new clients that lead to strong, lasting partnerships
