Pay:
$ $15.00 per hour

Overview:
The Program Aide / Youth Development Professional plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.

KEY ROLES:

Prepare Youth for Success

  1. Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:

  2. promote and stimulate program participation

  3. register new members and participate in their club orientation process
  4. provide guidance and role modeling to members.

Program Development and Implementation

  1. Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for drop-in members and visitors.

  2. Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the branch at all times. Prepare periodic activity reports.

Supervision

  1. Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly branch staff meetings.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    May participate in special programs and/or events.

2.    Active communication with club staff and supervisors to inform, provide information and/or support with club members, events, or any operations for the organization.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience in working with children and/or afterschool programs
  • Knowledge of youth development.
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems.
  • Ability to deal with the general public.
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth.
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications.
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • Age: Must be 19 & up

Experience:

·      Childcare: 1 year (Required)

·      Event/Program Management (Preferred)

Preferred:
Individuals currently pursing degree in education, non-profit, hospitality management, or another applicable degree program.

Work Location:
In person

There are openings at both our Bryan and Caldwell locations.

Expected Salary Range: $13-15/hr based on experience
