Firefighter/Paramedic

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Firefighter/Paramedic to join our emergency response team. This vital role involves providing immediate medical assistance, fire suppression, rescue operations, and ensuring community safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong emergency medical skills, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform under high-pressure situations. Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls involving fires, medical incidents, accidents, and rescue situations.
• Provide advanced life support and first aid to patients, including assessing vital signs and administering CPR.
• Operate fire suppression equipment and utilize mechanical tools during rescue operations.
• Conduct thorough scene assessments to determine the appropriate response and safety measures.
• Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks during rescue efforts and equipment handling.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and team members to coordinate effective emergency responses.
• Ensure all firefighting and medical equipment is properly maintained, inspected, and ready for use at all times.
• Educate the public on fire safety procedures and participate in community outreach programs.

Experience

• Prior EMT experience is required, with certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and First Aid.
• Experience in firefighting or related emergency services is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and ability to operate emergency vehicles safely is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with firefighting equipment enhances effectiveness in the role.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, stand for extended periods, and work in challenging environments is necessary.
• Proven ability to assess situations quickly, make sound decisions under pressure, and work effectively as part of a team is critical for success in this role.

Pay: $70, $75,293.00 per year
