Job Summary: As a Maintenance and Groundskeeper at (Percy Quin State Park ), you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of park grounds and facilities. This position involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to support park operations and enhance visitor experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Grounds Maintenance:
• Maintain lawns, trails, and natural areas by mowing, trimming, and pruning vegetation.
• Plant and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance park beauty.
• Monitor and control weeds, pests, and invasive plant species.
• Facility Maintenance:
• Inspect, clean, and maintain park buildings, restrooms, picnic areas, and other facilities.
• Perform minor repairs to structures, equipment, and utilities.
• Ensure facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards.
• Trash and Waste Management:
• Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials from designated areas.
• Keep trash receptacles and dumpsters clean and organized.
• Trail and Path Maintenance:
• Clear and maintain hiking trails, boardwalks, and paths for accessibility.
• Repair and install trail markers, signage, and fencing as needed.
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
• Operate and maintain park vehicles, mowers, trimmers, and other equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and request repairs as necessary.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional vocational training or certifications in landscaping, horticulture, or related fields may be preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or related work is often required. This may vary depending on the specific role and responsibilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
