Housekeeping Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our daily houses. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of cleaning protocols, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, ensuring quality service, and implementing efficient cleaning procedures to enhance guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, checklists, and quality standards aligned with company policies.
• Train new staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and customer service expectations, emphasizing skills such as floor care, janitorial practices, and industrial cleaning.
• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards and safety regulations.
• Manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to prevent shortages.
• Address guest or staff concerns promptly, resolving issues efficiently to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.
• Enforce health and safety protocols related to COVID-19 protective measures and general sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving operational efficiency and staff performance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in housekeeping management within the hospitality industry or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, industrial cleaning, and custodial practices.
• Previous hotel experience or experience in hospitality settings is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Ability to train staff on janitorial procedures, safety protocols, and customer service excellence.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to sanitation and COVID-19 protective measures.
• Relevant experience in custodial work or industrial cleaning is a plus.
