SUMMARY

Optimizes equipment performance in assigned area by performing repairs, modifications, installations, and preventative

maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production

machines by performing the following duties. Satisfy SAI's Quality goals and Plant-wide objectives in completion of

activities or duties (reference SAI Quality Manual and Quality Policy)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Provide technical support to the manufacturing team assigned (ie Machining or Assembly)

Through active participation in:
Diagnosing and repairing equipment failures (i.e. electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC's,

CNC)

Assisting with training of operators

Assisting with changeovers

Kaizen/OEE improvements

Assisting with implementing standardized work for operation and changeover of equipment

Assisting and performing operator and technical PM tasks as assigned

Assisting in developing equipment PM's

Equipment layout and product flow

Assistance with machine acceptance criteria and spare part requirements

Assistance with 5S of assigned area

Small group meetings and improvement projects

Maintaining and providing a safe work area and work in a safe manner.

Submitting suggestions for improvements, and leading teams to successful implementation.

Assist in facilities related maintenance activities

Complete work orders assigned by PM System and Facilities Manager

Measurables:

  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
  • % Complete PM's
  • Scrap
  • House keeping audit

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related

experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints and related electrical / mechanical documents.

Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group

situations to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and

solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to

practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited

standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

perception, and ability to adjust focus.
